The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
From left to right: Gigi Koch, Doro Bush Koch, Ellie LeBlond, Henry Hager, Jenna Bush Hager, Barbara Bush, Pres. George W. Bush, Laura Bush, Pierce Bush, Lauren Bush Lauren, David Lauren, Ashley Bush, Neil Bush, Maria Andrews Bush (Neils current wife), Walker Bush, Alexander Andrews (Neils stepson), Elizabeth Andrews (Neils stepdaughter), Marshall Bush, Margaret Bush, Jeb Bush, Columba Bush and Jeb Bush Jr.
((Ping!))
What a beautiful picture and perfect scenery
Thank you for the joy you continually bring with your pics and posts.
“Miss Me Yet”?........yes I do!!
: )
Thanks so much. A GREAT MAN and a great family. I’m so grateful that he was President especially on 9-11.
Pattyvita, thank you, once again, for the wonderful pictures of President Bush. Seeing this good man still brings a smile to my face.
Wow, W sure looks like his Dad in the picture where he’s wearing the baseball cap and waving to a fan.
Thanks Kaslin for the kind words. Wow, good genes must run in the Bush family, most of the men and women are all attractive in their own way! :)
Wish that photo would have been released to the public immediately after Lauren Bush and David Lauren got married last September.
You’re all very welcome! Appreciate your kind words on the pics!
Hmmm, you’re right. Pres. Bush’s resemblance to his father in that photo is remarkably uncanny!
I’m sure many here have already seen or heard of this, but thought I’d share this note I saw on Facebook...
‘Tomorrow, the Bush Institute will host a conference on taxes and economic growth as part of our 4% Growth Project. Tune in live beginning at 8:35am Eastern to see remarks by President Bush, Steve Forbes, Governor Chris Christie, and Congressman Paul Ryan. http://www.bushcenter.com/taxconference2012';
.
Great family picture!!
Cool, thanks for the heads up 4integrity!
Just one question, soooooo Lauren Bush's new married name (after marrying David Lauren) will be Lauren Lauren??? Wild.
Wow, I’m glad someone else noticed this! I saw it in a newspaper/or magazine at that time and posted it; but never got an answer for some reason! Anyway, it was a lovely, old-fashioned, sort of “old west” style wedding, with Lauren being driven to the wedding in an old horse-drawn carriage! The bride and groom wore old-fashioned, old-west-style clothes as well, with a reception serving barbeque food! Since her name is Lauren, and her new married name is Lauren, she goes by Lauren Bush Lauren!

OOpps! Sorry for the double post! My poor computer has been having snarly issues lately. Sometimes the posting feature gets stuck, and I think I haven’t posted yet, when I have.. :^(
It's obvious that as much as his presence made such a huge difference for us when he was in office, his Center will continue on carrying his message of freedom, valuing and protecting all life, honoring our troops and bettering the world wherever it can for the good of mankind .. out of the heart of goodness in this wonderful man. God bless and protect him.
