So true, but nevertheless it amazes me just how many people -- including way too many on the Right -- simply do not recognize greatness of character when they see it. From several perspectives, George W. Bush is, without any doubt, a truly great man.
The fact that some people mistake his straightforward, plain-spoken west Texas ways for lack of intelligence says more about them than about our 43rd President.
I think the huge success of his book and appearances speaks to the fact that some people do get it, thank heavens.
