To mark Labor Day 2010, President Obama will join hands with AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka in Milwaukee and pose as champions of the working class. Bad move. Trumka's organizing record is a shameful reminder of the union movement's violent and corrupt foundations.
The new Obama/AFL-CIO power alliance underwritten with $40 million in hard-earned worker dues is a midterm shotgun marriage of Beltway brass knuckles and Big Labor brawn.
Trumka warmed up his rhetorical muscles this past week with full-frontal attacks on former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. He indignantly accused her of "getting close to calling for violence" and suggested that her criticism of Tea Party-bashing labor bosses amounted to "terrorizing" workers.
Trumka and Obama will cast Big Labor as an unassailable force for good in American history. But when it comes to terrorizing workers, Trumka knows whereof he speaks.
Meet Eddie York. He was a working man whose story will never scroll across Obama's teleprompter. A nonunion contractor who operated heavy equipment, York was shot to death during a strike called by the United Mine Workers 17 years ago. Workmates who tried to come to his rescue were beaten in an ensuing melee.
The head of the UMW spearheading the wave of strikes at that time? Richard Trumka.

Know who these big labor UNION Boss's are and take heed....not all union members are not crooks and the majority would like to work free of UNION boss's and rules.
This is some of the trash that should be left out on November Second, 2010! Obama and gang are a real piece of work....we have NO President in the White House at the present time.............
The real truth about labor unions comes out when you have to deal with the thugs who have had control for many years. They only look for union dues period which gives the money to control the democrat party.
Shall we re-name this baby, “Organized Crime Day,” or “Corruption Day”?
Hard to believe the country set aside a national holiday to celebrate this phenomenon.
The worst part of violence by union thugs is that the violence (at least to some level) is legal. A 1973 court case essentially ruled that union violence is protected speech. Murder would not be protected although good luck in gathering evidence about union violence resulting in murder. Procescutors in big cities rarely investigate union violence. Union thugs have a free pass on lawlessness.
I wonder if MM saw the UCLA study column today re: union jobs losses across the board, seeing as Obama wamts to hang out with Trumka for Labor Day. The members have no clue what’s coming, the bosses don’t care.

[Happy Thug Day weekend.]

That means that the union goons and the prosecutor are criminals and should be behind bars. There has to come a day when District Attorneys in big cities get arrested for obstruction of justice. Until then, we live in a lawless society. At least when it comes to union murderers and leg breakers who obey union leaders.

Welcome to Obamaville with union thuggery and illegal alien lawlessnes for all.
For all our work on our lawns, gardens and fields, we need to thank God and ask for his blessings.
O God, Source and Giver of all things, Who does manifest Thy infinite majesty, power and goodness in the earth about us, we give You honor and glory.
For the sun and the rain, for the manifold fruits of our fields, for the increase of our herds and flocks, we thank You. For the enrichment of our souls with divine grace, we are grateful.
Supreme Lord of the harvest, graciously accept us and the fruits of our toil, in union with Christ, Your Son, as atonement for our sins, for the growth of Your Church, for peace and charity in our homes, for salvation to all. Amen.
Excellent column by Michelle Malkin...
Thanks for the ping.
