How Obama Thinks (Best, most thorough article on Obama's pysche I have seen yet)

Obama Sr. was an economist, and in 1965 he published an important article in the East Africa Journal called "Problems Facing Our Socialism." Obama Sr. wasn't a doctrinaire socialist; rather, he saw state appropriation of wealth as a necessary means to achieve the anticolonial objective of taking resources away from the foreign looters and restoring them to the people of Africa. For Obama Sr. this was an issue of national autonomy. "Is it the African who owns this country? If he does, then why should he not control the economic means of growth in this country?"

As he put it, "We need to eliminate power structures that have been built through excessive accumulation so that not only a few individuals shall control a vast magnitude of resources as is the case now." The senior Obama proposed that the state confiscate private land and raise taxes with no upper limit. In fact, he insisted that "theoretically there is nothing that can stop the government from taxing 100% of income so long as the people get benefits from the government commensurate with their income which is taxed

“Interesting that the last 2 Democratic Presidents have both had “issues” about being abandoned by their fathers.”

Partly why they’re both heroes of the left. Their litmus.

Term limits are needed for as long as it takes to clean our bureaucratic house and are the only solution to the corruption of earmarks, favorable legislation in exchange for votes, etc. etc.

I agree there is a problem but I don't think term limits is the solution. Reducing the frequency of elections would help reduce the amount of looting. The pork problems we can survive, but the socialism we can't. The Supreme Court has no term limits or elections, like kings, and they are the most conservative, stable, corruption-free branch of government.

I've given up on perfect. I would rather have imperfect rules to the game that never change than imperfect rules that are always creeping to the left. We can never get rid of the leftists so let's stick with the ones we got while their education progresses rather than starting repeatedly with fresh idiots. With leadership change, the rules are always moving left.

If we were to design a better constitution, something close to a kingdom would be the most conservative, stable, and financially sound. Having a democratic government with short 6 month term limits for everyone is the fastest way to bring in socialism and go bankrupt. Look to the United Kingdom for an example of before and after.

Now, you could argue that there are not enough decent people around him, but as you go down the ladder, you will find more and more.

Sorry. You may find fewer. In order to exist in the liberal hierarchy, at whatever level, one must absolutely drink the Liberal Kool-Aid. There are no Republican clerks in the Federal Civil Service.

Case in point: Kagan and Sotomayor's law clerks at the SCOTUS. Young Leninists with everything but the Komsomol Red Scarf.

I forwarded the article to a couple places, including Drudge in hopes of getting it distributed more widely. Ithink when the print issue hits the news stands in the next week or so, the MSM will have to take notice. Forbes is not some fringe publication, so I am thinking the Hannity’s, Olbermanns, Mornings Joes, etc will have to at least mention it.

>It is EXACTLY why only a Natural Born Citizen should be eligible for potus. because otherwise you get the ideology of someone who thinks America is evil, someone who believes the Nation is an imperialist oppressor.<

Sadly, in today’s US, there are far too many natural born citizens all too eager to embrace anti-American sentiment wholeheartedly. Just look at the democrat party, much less at the US media as a whole.

Pray for this country.

I know :( but I think she’s getting a clue due to the “controlled detonation” of Medicare Advantage.

It is an assignment to read and discuss with their parents for next week. One young man was very excited about it because he heard the author debate Christopher Higgens at UCF last spring.

And then... there's the CO2 she exhales! The cost of keeping Auntie alive is just WAY TOO HIGH for society...

Great article, but it brings us no closer to getting Obama on with the fact that he is supposed to be working in the interest of the United States, which he has NEVER done.

“The American people made a terrible blunder in electing this man to be President in a time of crisis. We were already in a deep hole, and Obama is digging it deeper and deeper - partly to realize the “dreams of his father,” and partly from sheer incompetence.”

Bingo. Excellent article.
