To: Blood of Tyrants
Used to be that you could pretty much stay out of trouble as long as you were less than 10 mph over the limit on the interstate. But the last time I got a ticket, I noticed that the fine was based on being more than 10% over the speed limit. So if you're in a 60 or 65 mph zone, that doesn't leave you very much wiggle room.

When speed limits in rural Washington were raised from 60 to 70 mph the state patrol wee-wee’d themselves and whined that the tolerance would not be applied to speeds over 70.

They keep their Revenue Enhancement teams pretty busy.

So you can get a ticket for doing 17 in a 15 mph school zone?
