A Thank You letter I received just now.

Thanks God there are GOOD people in DHS! Who understand and help.

THANKS TO ALL OF YOU AMERICANS! here it is:

From FEMA-Preparedness-Task-Force date Thu, Sep 16, 2010 at 12:57 PM

subject Thank You mailed-by dhs.gov 12:57 PM (41 minutes ago) The Local, State, Tribal, and Federal Preparedness Task Force thanks you for your contributions to the National Dialogue on Preparedness. Your voice has joined thousands of others representing emergency management professionals, first responders, community organizers, and concerned citizens who would like to enhance our preparedness as a nation.

The National Dialogue on Preparedness website comment period is now closed and the Task Force is reviewing all recommendations submitted over the last five weeks. Submissions to the site will remain active for you to review, but not for comment or voting, while the Task Force is finalizing its report.

The final report will be available on the Preparedness Task Force website after it has been presented to Congress. The report represents a significant milestone for aligning the preparedness community to a common vision. The Task Force members encourage you to review the document and to share the recommendations with your constituents, partners, and leadership to begin implementing the ideas.

Thank you for your commitment to ensuring our country is prepared to protect against, prevent, respond to, and recover from acts of terrorism and natural disasters. Please direct any questions to Fema-Preparedness-Task-Force@dhs.gov.

Sincerely, Kathleen Fox Executive Director

Local, State, Tribal, and Federal Preparedness Task Force

I wrote and asked them yesterday when report would be done, they replied; "We are currently anticipating report delivery to Congress by the end of September. We expect the report to be available on the website in October."

BTW, out of the 266 ideas submitted there at the National Dialogue on Preparedness, our proposal calling for renewed nuclear civil defense training of the public was voted #1. See it atop the list there at http://preparedness.ideascale.com

I've no illusions they will fully adopt it, or in-time, but it will help individuals to see that they could & should prep for nukes on their own and that it is not futile to do so.
