Sounds like it was primary day for both the GOP and the Dems, correct? Had your hubby taken the D wouldn’t he have gotten the Democrat primary ballot and not the Republican? That’s how it works here in SC.

Local talk show guy reported that there was some problem down in the Henlopen area.

remember I’m just reporting all rumors here so I don’t know what’s true and what’s not. Just trying to keep interest piqued.

Anyhow, he said that a judge had to be contacted to rule on allowing some voters a ballot.

Further investigation revealed that there were cases where special consideration was required to allow voting. something going on in special districts.

again, don’t know what it’s about but didn’t seem major, major.

In case some big deal comes of it, you heard it here first.

“Genuine conservatism WINS every time it’s run-!”

I don’t want to rain on your parade, but Rick Santorum was what I would characterize as a genuine conservative. He got his clock cleaned.

As for taking people to the polls from nursing homes...heh...gotta anecdote.

But first....when it comes to old people, we got it down pat here in Sussex county. Our average population is something like 62 years old. I’m sure the Tea Party is transporting people.

Once I worked for a local yokel candidate...true story. Was calling up folks to get them to vote for my guy...you know, like you do.

Once place I call, I ask for the guy whose name was on my call sheet. The lady answered, she sounds kind of puzzled. Again I ask to speak to Mr. Jones.

“You do know this is a home for people with severe brain trauma?”

Well no, I didn’t know that. Whoever gave me the call sheet didn’t tell me this but I dunno, I guess he didn’t know. And whatever the brain injury, this guy I asked for WAS a registered Republican and he did give this as his phone number.

But I get tongue-tied but you gotta know my wit never lets me down.

I tell the lady, a nurse, never mind. Obviously this place filled with brain injured folks is all Democrat.

I’m not sure if the nurse lady on the other end was amused but I had all the co-callers in the room with me laughing their heads off.

Now wait a minute, someone told me on another thread that she is Italian. Which is it? I thought she was Irish. I mean come on, the “O’Donnell” in her is a dead away I would think. Anyone know for sure?

[In other words, husband interpreted what I still think was a joke to mean that you could only vote in one party’s primary but it didn’t HAVE to be the party in which you were registered.]

So do you think Democrats will be crossing over to vote O’Donnell if they can get away with it?

Yeah...

if you take the “D” you get the Democrat ballot to vote.

See...the Dems had a primary but nothing. Coons is running but he’s got no opposition.

So you’re telling me that we COULD have take a “d”, IF it’s like your state does it?

and this bothers me because a bunch of Dems could come in and Democrat but for his party affiliation.

I hope this is not the case.
