I’m excited about how messages to the GOP leadership will now translate into votes in the US Senate!!! /s

I can already hear the screams of “RIGHTWING EXTREMIST!” from the leftwing extremists who gave us ObamaCare, Cap’n Tax, “gay marriage” and a Muzzie Victory Trophy “mosque” at Ground Zero.

The primary is over. I hope this race isn’t over.

So say you and the rest of the RINO’s .;

Get behind her and see that it doesn’t happen.

If they were the same people that nominated him, one would think so.

I get what you’re saying. However, a Republican majority Senate would get to choose committee make-ups and would be able to vote on budget issues with a straight-up majority.

I’m not completely sold that Castle would have been a shoe-in during the general election, but Castle, while more conservative, is certainly a flawed candidate.

There’s no reason to tear her down, and I’d have voted for her in the primary. Still, I think it’s only a half-full victory.

What’s this ‘we’?
I didn’t vote in Delaware.
By your flag, you’re not from there either.

Evidently the people in Delaware know what they want.

Thus ended hopes for the Senate.

Bill Buckley is rolling in his grave.

Bill Buckley led the charge to replace Lowell Weicker in CT WITH a Democrat (Joe Lieberman). I had a "Does Lowell Weicker Make You Sick?" bumber sticker on the back of my car, courtesy of Buck-PAC. So, no, WFB is NOT rolling in his grave.

You know, even if you're right, I tell you what else we did. We handed abject fear to establishment Republicans. And that's worth its weight in gold, in my book.

100% right. And that is the point that many don't seem to understand. This race will have significant implications for how the Republicans behave in office. They can no longer be stealth enemies of conservatism. They either have to start acting like conservatives, or go into open warfare with the electorate.

And that is worth far more than one single Senate seat.

That is true. We will be subjected to the usual elitist lectures about how the Republicans are a far right party determined to drive off moderates and independents etc. Heaven forbid we stand on principle.

Castle can finally spend more time with the family.

Hoefully Castle will resign now.

I have a different take on this whole “only RINOs can win meme” we keep hearing.
First of all, isn’t that how the MSM sold us McCain in the GOP primaries in 2008?

And why do we buy this line?
It seems to me that career New England RINOs who have been around since the Ford administration are the ones who have held Republicans back in those states. Tea Party candidates are like Ronald Reagan all over again. They said he was unelectable, too, but he was the last Republican to carry many of those states. It’s the RINOs who make the Republican brand not worth voting for in New England.

Sorry to say it, but we just handed Delaware to the Dems.

Yeah, and Christine was supposed to lose tonight!

Screw Castle...he’d end up voting for every Dem agenda item anyways. His being a Republican meant nada!

Go Christine!
