Full statement by John Cornyn, head of the NRSC:
“Let there be no mistake: The National Republican Senatorial Committee – and I personally as the committee's chairman – strongly stand by all of our Republican nominees, including Christine O'Donnell in Delaware.
“I reached out to Christine this morning, and as I have conveyed to all of our nominees, I offered her my personal congratulations and let her know that she has our support. This support includes a check for $42,000 – the maximum allowable donation that we have provided to all of our nominees – which the NRSC will send to her campaign today.
“We remain committed to holding Democrat nominee New Castle County Executive Chris Coons accountable this November, as we inform voters about his record of driving his county to the brink of bankruptcy and supporting his party's reckless spending policies in Washington.
“In the weeks ahead, we will decide where to best allocate additional financial resources among the large number of competitive races at stake this November. While it's not in Republicans' interest to advertise our spending strategy to our opponents, it's worth noting that just yesterday, the NRSC's first independent expenditure ad aired in support of Dr. Rand Paul's campaign in Kentucky, where we firmly believe that he will win in November.
“It remains to be seen whether national Democrats will provide a similar level of support for many of their nominees, including in key battleground states like Indiana, Ohio, Florida, Arkansas, Illinois, and New Hampshire, among others. The Democrats' indecision reflects the fact that Republicans are on offense in at least 12 Democrat-held states and we are leading in the polls in seven of those 12 states.
“Finally, on the matter of the New Hampshire Senate race, while the results remain outstanding, we continue to monitor the Republican primary race, and we stand ready to fully support whichever candidate is chosen as the nominee.”
Sit and spin, NRSC.
That’s why you give money directly to the candidates or to conservative PACs, not these douchebags.
If you saw (and believe) the preview of an upcoming DE poll featured on a NRO blog post, you wouldn’t give her a dime either.
I sent him an e-mail today telling him I will never vote for him again. I am fed up with this RINO and his elitist attitude.
There’s been no recession in Washington and those people won’t give it up without a fight. This is all about OUR money.
I am a conservative who only votes Republican because that party tends to be conservative...to various degrees.
But I am grossed out by the elitists in our own camp, who feel entitled to their positions of power just like the liberals.
They now know they are threatened...and they are capable of getting really nutty about this.
Stock up on popcorn.
Just damn. The Tea Party has given new life and new conservative blood to the GOP and THIS is the thanks they get?
Just do it if you feel you have to. If there’s no other viable option, get to it.
John Cornyn is done. I will personally run against him if I must.
I don't know who you are, but I'll man the phonebank for you.
John Cornhole is such a POS that he gave money to Specter and Crist to switch parties and use against conservative Republicans, but he won’t give money to the Republican nominees.
This is outright war now.
The battle lines have been drawn.
The GOP will not survive another season with John Cornhole and Michael Steal running the funding.
We need Jim DeMint at the NRSC. Period. Accept no other!
I’m not a big McPalin fan, but I think she would be great heading the RNC.
If this stands, I will go back to Independent, and NEVER do a thing for the Republican party ever again.
REVOLT! No money whatsoever to the repubs until they reverse this. Start with local candidates too.
Give to the conservative candidates not the RNSC.
The RINOs are the ones who sold out the GOP to globalization and socialism lite. They don’t represent our core values, and their time in history is just that: HISTORY.
Put Party above principles: it’s not just for Democrats anymore.
Let us not bark at Republicans. We are the republican party now. Establishment has to follow. Tea party candidates won in almost all the primaries and it is clear that, we make the party. So, don’t worry they will follow us or we don’t need them for the money. We will donate to candidates who need the money and make them win.
I wont give them money either.
At some point people have to stand on principles.
It has a Facebook page too.
I know!! I can feel the whirlwind now. I think this is just the begining steps of restoring the Republic. For now lets just enjoy this victory and give thanks to God.
