What a failure of leadership by Cornyn. Yesterday he wouldn’t committ to helping O’Donnell, then last night he stood silent as it was leaked that the NRSC wouldn’t help her, now he says they’ll stand behind her and give her funds. Too late.
Agreed. Oh well, after November he and his ilk can be dealt with accordingly.
I suspect Cornyn was taking his marching orders from inside DC and at the RNC. The American people need to be pushing back at the establishment and the establishment types and get it into the heads of these politicians that they represent us and that we will not be cowed. The Karl Rove implosion is a distraction. Fireworks are fun to watch, but it won’t put people back to work or get this country’s economy going and it won’t put liberals out of power.
From the observations I’ve made since my senator Johnboy Cornyn hit DC is that he obviously got into the Potomac Koolaid. His voting record initially was commendable but has since steadily deteriorated. DC is a vermin infested sewer that infects even some of our best if they’re there long enough. Damn shame! I’m hopeful the awakening of the apathetic sleeping giant that is MOST of Americans will stiffen some backbones. Not making excuses for Johnboy but DC is more a reflection of Americans’ lack of vigilance than most of us would care to admit. Maybe we shouldn’t be too quick to judge those that are just a bit slow on the uptake. That said, Johnboy, has one foot on the platform, one in the train and a finger in the wind. Applying an old maxim: He needs to $H!T of get off the pot!
