Usually, any “extremist” movement has less than 10% support.
That would be the outright communists/socialists.

The TP folks have huge support. They are not “extreme” in the least.

I remember the Kerry entourage trying to connect with the “common” people during the 2004 presidential campaign. They stopped the campaign bus by a fast food restaurant, made a public show of going in and buying bags of burgers or tacos, and once on the bus, threw it all out so they could eat gourmet brie and watercress sandwiches.
