Okay....taking deep breath.

I’m not near as smart as Karl Rove, being a Tea Party numskull and everything. But I’d think that ...well politics 101...don’t TRASH YOUR PARTY’S CANDIDATE WITHIN TEN MINUTES OF VICTORY.

You think? Some, just throwing it out there, think it not wise to your trash your victorious candidate at all but hey, Rove is the political expert here.

I know there’s Rove defenders hither and yon, not many, but they’re out there.

For the life of me I can’t find a single one who’ll even dare to state that there’s anything right about getting on national TV and trashing your winning candidate a few minutes after victory. Again, some silly folks it not wise to be trashing your victorious candidate in public...EVER, but again, mighty Rove knows more about politics than me.

Now if Rove maybe did this...oh I’m thinking maybe a couple days later, a week later, well let’s give him the benefit of the doubt....even 24 hours later...then defense him makes a modicum of sense. Though, hey, I gotta wonder if Rove would have thought it okie dokie had, say, Sarah Palin got out there and trashed Mike Castle, say, had Castle won. all within, let me remind, a few minutes of the victory.

BUT FIVE MINUTES AFTER THE CANDIDATE’S VICTORY?

Again, Karl Rove knows way more than me, of course.

It's called anger, okay? I'm not defending him, he was wrong for doing it. But he's also human. As a Republican operative he sees a chance for the Pubbies to take over the Senate and he thinks that the voters of Delaware just screwed that up.

I also disagree with his analysis. Besides, even under the best of circumstances the Pubbies only get to around 51 seats. A majority in the Senate with 51 seats is pretty useless. There will still be gridlock and Obama will have the "majority" party to blame it on when he runs in 2012. It's much better and more important to take over the house. Per the Constitution all spending bills start there. We can strangle the healthcare funding for two years and get rid of it after 2012 with a pubbie President.

Again, I think Karl Rove was wrong and is still wrong in his criticism of O'Donnell. However, I'm not going to be calling him a RINO or say he's part of the problem after he's fought a lifetime for conservative not necessarily republican causes.

we all know that Sarah Palin would have come out immediately and supported Castle...and Murkowski if she had won.....

that's class and thats called being a team player....

so it does make you wonder about Rovey and about Castle, who AFAIK....has not called Christine as of yet...

I don't know what Sarah Palin or Christine O'Donnell would have said if Castle won.

But I'm pretty sure that there are a lot of Freepers who would have said, "f--- you Castle, we'll be sitting out the general election".

So I can't get too offended by Castle supporters who are taking the same approach.

I do think that Jim DeMint would be supporting Castle if he had won.
