Do you really think DC residents find this repellant or criminal? She was just shaking down the man. Lower standards for the less developed. Isn’t that what Marx said? From each based on ability - to each based on their need? Marxism is the absence of standards, until the head Marxist wants something, then the rules change.
What has that got to do with her extortion? Either she broke the law or she didn't. Remember, Lady justice has her eyes covered. Lady Justice has no idea what color Holmes is.

Breitbart hurt his cred with the Sherrod tapes and the media will use that an exscuse to ignore this scoop. He really has to be careful.

I’m handling the largest economic development project in the United States now, the Homeland Security Compound of three buildings being built on the uh, old St. Elizabeth’s hospital site in the District of Columbia along with uh, fifteen other, uh, sites here for, that are part of the stimulus.
I was, frankly, uh, uh, surprised to see that we don’t have a record, so far as I can tell, of your having given to me despite my uh, long and deep uh, work. In fact, it’s been my major work, uh, on the committee and sub-committee it’s been essentially in your sector.

What did Breitbart do? I heard the tape on the radio this morning. She had obviously left a voice mail message on some lobbyist’s answering machine. The tape quality is excellent, and Norton speaks clearly and distinctly. She alludes to her years of exerience on the House Committee that deals with infrastructure and the fact that she is personally “in charge” of the project to build the new Homeland security headqaurters on the grounds of the old St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in DC. She says the guy has given to others on the Committee, and she doesn’t understand why he hasn’t given to her, since she is such an important player in the field in which this guy has a significant interest. She would like him to contribute money to her. It’s all there, very straightforward, in her words, loud and clear with no prompting by anyone else. This was no sting operation, so there is no possibility of entrapment. It sure sounded like a shakedown to me.
She’s also running unopposed for her seat, so it’s not like she is in dire need of campaign funds.

You say Breitbart should be careful, but it is not clear to me why. The tape is all in her voice and was apparently left on an answering machine. It does not appear to be edited in any way, and this was not a sting operation. If she is wounded by this, it is pretty obviously a self-inflicted wound.
I mean that he should have been more careful with the Sherrod stuff. He went off half-cocked on that and now the media has their exscuse to ignore apparently solid stuff like this.

Implies a lot of the other members of Congress do this (maybe not so blatently). Maybe she can provide the Justice Department with a list of names and references. Oh wait! Holder is still running the Justice Department. Well, we can see this extortion attempt will go nowhere.
