And, if this is only the first of 22-tapes, as has been alleged, then it's only going to get worse. If you're going to donate to anyone, donate to Sharon Angle, who is in a neck & neck battle with Harry Reid, or Marco Rubio who needs money. Angle and Rubio aren't shooting herself in the foot. O'Donnell is.

Second, the Dems - with the help of the media - will be using O'Donnell to paint all Republicans as crack-pots. This will be the national story moving forward, not Obama and not the wave election. Every crazy thing that O'Donnell has said, or will say will lead the morning news shows. It's as predictable as the rising sun.

There are PLENTY of other races that are winnable, but close, and could use the resources O'Donnell is eating up.

Actually, any $$ I give is likely to go to Jesse Kelly in my home district. In 2006, a conservative Republican won the nomination, and the national party cancelled $1 million in planned ads, refused to endorse him, cut him off at the knees, and then sighed with relief when Gabby Giffords (D) won.

I want Giffords out. The establishment Republicans probably love Giffords, but I want a conservative to win my district. And right now, Jesse is tied in the polls with Gabby.

In past elections, I would say you are correct and this would most certainly have an impact. However, I think that that strategy has outlived it's effectiveness in today's political environment. You could easily subsitute O'Donnell with the Tea Party over past year and a half and see that the medias lies and bashing are having no impact while creating more resentment. A person who did something stupid as a kid (in this case dabbling in witchcraft) really means nothing to a person who doesn't have a job or is struggling financially.

Any negative side story the media can come up with from now until the election will be silenced by the job numbers and unemployment rate announcements and revisions.

This is yet another example of your inability to check your 'facts'. You seem to see yourself as some sort of online Charles Krauthammer, but in reality, my Siberian Husky is more adept at political analysis than you are.
