Political consultants talk about the "optics" of certain situation, as well as the "legs" of those same situations. IOW, how will it look to the general electorate, and how long will it last. This looks crazy, and if Maher isn't lying when he says the rest of the tapes are worse, then it has legs.
Is Coon going to lead the morning news shows? Nope. Why don't you see that? This isn't about Christine O'Donnell, it's not about Coons and it's really not about a DE Senate race. This is about the media painting one remarkably odd candidate as the face of the Tea Party and the Republican party. It's not complicated.
