King of misleading. The picture and the headline make it sound as if she was out on a Sunday stroll and was attacked and managed to kill the gator with her hands or something.

A kid could kill a gator with a gun or a harpoon. Big deal.

Info from Swamp People -

How many do you have in your creel? Big gators have only one vulnerable spot. That is a quarter sized spot on the back of the head (neck). Other spots on the top side are so tough that bullets and harpoons just bounce off.

You should watch swamp people.

Don’t know if this is a record but it is bigger than those shown on that collection of shows about the Cajun gator hunters in Louisiana.

You are seriously underestimating a 13 foot gator. They weigh about 900 pounds at that length and can capsize a boat. They are almost impossible to get into a boat at that size as well (for a few people anyway).
