GULF ISLAND NATIONAL SEASHORE, FL - If you're going to the Gulf Islands National Seashore this weekend... You might want to leave the shovel and sand pale at home.

The fed says B-P workers can't dig more than 6 inches in the sand to look for oil.... and as Channel 3's Dan Thomas found out... You can't dig at all.

Dan Thomas/dthomas@weartv.com: "We had come out here to the National Park to show you just what exactly is in the sand, lower than 6 inches. We wanted to use the shovel and give you a look but apparently, that's illegal."

B-P has machines ready to go that can dig down to 18 inches... A quick look at the manual operation and you can clearly see there's oil well below the 6 inch limit.

But that's about all we can show you because in the midst of doing this story, this happened.

Obama is worried people are going to find out what he’s hiding down here. He already announced that “all the oil is gone” and “come on down and swim and eat the seafood!” He’s actually trying to control the general public’s perception by controlling the media in a fascist fashion.

Can you imagine if George Bush announced “mission accomplished” and then sent Federal cops out to threaten reporters for checking out the truth of Bush’s claims for themselves? Obama has been harassing and threatening scientists and doctors who don’t preach his lies as well. Some of them are getting the “wrong” results.

No ned to try - I already know what is down under. It’s all been covered up with sand so it looks good from an airplane.

“...Ice storms, floods, hurricanes... There were no natural disasters during the reign of Barack Hussein Obama (Peace Be Upon Him)”.

Johnson Beach is lovely! Hubby's family used to vacation at the Vista del Mar condo, which was the last one on the road before entering the park. Sadly, its foundation was undermined during Hurricane Ivan, and they had to tear it down. They wanted to rebuild, but the environmentalist wackos took it upon themselves to convince the powers that be that a particular sand mouse was endangered, and if it were found on property, no one should be allowed to build there.

Well, after the structure was removed, the mice moved in since there was nothing to stop them, so since there were now mice on the property, the folks could no longer build there. Such an asinine regulation; it made millions of dollars worth of beachfront property immediately worthless.

Actually, oil is always washing up on the shores of the Barrier Islands. It even makes it onshore sometimes. My sister and her husband had a home on Fountainbleau Beach in Ocean Springs, and they got oil globs all the time. That’s what those things under that sand in the picture look like.

That would be the Perdido Beach Mouse. No building went on for many years because of this mouse. I don’t know if anyone has ever even seen one.

There’s a bar out there that has a mouse toss in celebration of the stupidness of the envirowacks and the county building department.
