I think that we're misinterpreting what this delusional old fart said:

I think he meant to say that post-presidency he believes that he has done more than other retired presidents. He's talking about Habitats for Humanity, freedom for captured US citizens, etc. I don't think he means during his presidency - at least I hope he doesn't mean during his time in office. If so it's time to put him in a full care ward.

What a tool! Arguably, one of, if not the, worst president in the last 150 years.

I feel that my role as a former president is probably superior to that of other presidents"

what stupid and irrational things some people will think and say to try to build up their pseudo self-esteem.

This man (imo) is almost entirely responsible for the growth of the current islamic jihadism movement than anyone in our history. He severely undermined our national security every step of the way during his presidency and the consequences of those decisions are still being felt and realized today.

Let's not forget about his decision to accept thousands of Cuba refugees into this country of which the majority were criminals and thugs that Castro gladly sent here.

Let's not forget about the Panama Canal debacle in which he relinquished the US control of. And by accounts that I've read, for the past several years, the Chinese have been building up their military presence there.

Let's not forget, he cancelled the B1 program almost immediately throwing hundreds out of work instantly. Rockwell International immediately cut jobs as did many other contractors and sub-contractors/job shops.

No Carter, spin it the way you want, you were a freakin’ disaster; just like all of your treasonous democrat buddies have been. Why people keep voting for these traitors and cannot see history for what it is, is beyond me.

In fairness, he’s referring to his role as FORMER President. He did better at that than he did as sitting POTUS. Not that anyone but the present guy couldn’t have done better as POTUS.

If all Carter had done in his post-presidency was Habitat for Humanity, he’d get great kudos. But he couldn’t quite leave it at that. He had to spend years trashing Reagan, who thrashed him in the elections (and public esteem). Before Carter, no former POTUS ever spoke so disparagingly so frequently of his successor in Office.

He and his ‘Carter Center’ went bowing and scraping to the the Arabs, dissing Israel, after HE opened the gates to hell in Iran in ‘79.

So, not only was he a grossly inferior POTUS, he is and has been a grossly inferior former POTUS.

Perhaps in about 2 years he can show The One how to be as humble as he is as ex-president.

His brother Billy would have been a better President.

Yeah, he could have been an undeclared lobbyist for Libya as president instead of president's brother.

Well, he did win a Nobel Peace prize for not being George Bush.

Of course, Obama won his Nobel Peace prize for not being George Bush right after he took office. And Al Gore didn’t even have to win a presidential election to get hisNobel Peace prize for not being George Bush.

That's got to be the best thing I've read all day!!

As someone else posted, I don't think he was talking about his actual Presidency, but the time since. Again, as someone else said, if he had left it at teaching Sunday School and building houses, I would not have necessarily agreed with him, but wouldn't have thought he was making himself look like a total idiot.

As it is, he's done way too much trash talking of his successors, and way too much sucking up to people who are decidedly not friends of ours.

He comes across as delusional, demented, or both.

"I feel that my role as a former president is probably superior to that of other presidents"

That's because other presidents had their greatest accomplishments while in office, dimbulb.

Carter - you Jew hating SOB, the only thing I want to see from your post-presidency is your face on a U.S. postage stamp.

If I were president, I’d revoke your passport and have the Secret Service keep you confined to your peanut farm.
