In a very unusual move, University of Illinois trustees this afternoon denied giving emeritus status to controversial retired professor William Ayers.
The vote, at a U. of I. board meeting in Urbana, was unanimous and came after a passionate speech by board chair Christopher Kennedy, who invoked the assassination of his father, Robert F. Kennedy in saying that he was voting his "conscience."

My grandfather graduated from UIC around 1918 - became an architect — good man, conservative, took care of his family always — RIP —
I’m glad that for once a college did the right thing. It’s icing on the cake that this school is in ILLINOIS, current ‘home’ of Zero and his ‘pal from the neighborhood,’ Ayers. I would love to see Ayers stripped of his benefits; he should never have been permitted to ‘teach’ anywhere!

Yep..I saw it earlier. They should have fired Ayers and taken away his tenure. That would have been more impressive imho.
