Cuomo: No Place In New York For Tea Party
September 27, 2010 11:48 PM
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) Gubernatorial candidate Andrew Cuomo had strong words about his opponent Carl Paladino on Monday.
Cuomo addressed reporters after a meeting with black leaders including former city comptroller William Thompson and Rep. Charlie Rangel.
I believe his position that we should limit a womans right to chose even in the case of rape and incest, I think thats an extreme position, Cuomo said, I think the position about taking families who happen to be on welfare and bringing them to work camps is an extreme position.
Rangel described Paladinos rise as frightening and said New York was fortunate to have Cuomo.
Thompson went as far as accusing Paladino of being a racist.
Were not going to tolerate it, were going to stand up and say it and quote it for what it is, Thompson said.
Cuomo said he wants voters to know that this election is about making a choice.
There is no place in New York for Tea Party politics, Cuomo said adding that the party espoused extremist views.

Well there you have it...he couldn't be more clear about those who have concervative values and adhere to the constitution. "No place in New York"..pretty much says anyone with those values is not welcome in their state.
If there is a place for the Tea Party in Beverly Hills, then surely thee is a place for the Tea Party in NY. LOL
Politics-—the Cuomo family “business”
> Cuomo: No Place In New York For Tea Party
If this means that NY isn’t big enough for Cuomo and the Tea Party, then I agree, Cuomo has to go.
Oh yeah, "Prince" Andrew???

There's no place in New York for monarchies, "Prince Andrew"!
What a elitist jerk!!!
For those who remember. Bob Grant used to tell the elder cuomo to listen up in Italian. Maybe Bob should say the same to the evil seed.
“Cuomo: No Place In New York For Tea Party”
With a bit of luck, Mr. Cuomo may soon find out who there’s “no place for” in New York.
Go get him, Carl!
New York is one of the more Catholic states in the nation. Catholic New Yorkers should share with one another Andrew's delusion that opposing abortion is "extremist" and vote accordingly. His bishop should publicly deny him access to the Holy Eucharist unless and until he satisfactorily repents his grave sin as publicly as he committed it.
It is also remarkable beyond adequate words when people who want to tax you to death, grab your guns, kill your babies, support the institutionalization of perversion via "gay" "marriage", double the cost of gasoline and other fuels necessary to transportation and heat and electricity, run a thoroughly incompetent gummint skewel system (PS 666), will not maintain adequate national defense because they oppose it, have little interest in prosecuting actual crimes, and practice a foreign policy of respectful slavish surrender to our nation's enemies, call ANYONE else an "extremist" for opposing those policies and others of the Demonrats and RINOs.
I am a native New Yorker. While teaching in a "technical" institute, I forfeited benefits like health insurance, in order to hold down a job to provide for my family. My students were, for the most part, welfare recipients. They would exchange food stamps in the hallways; some of them collected from two different counties. Their education? Paid for with our tax dollars. Their health coverage? Paid for with our tax dollars. I wear multi focus lenses but could not afford to replace my eyeglasses. The students? One of them wept openly in my class because she lost her 2nd pair of glasses and the state welfare system would not give her a new pair. When Christmas rolled around, I scrimped and saved pennies to buy my daughter some gifts. My students? They registered themselves with corporate giving associations. One of them was adopted by more than one company and her children received toy boxes filled to capacity.
I have great empathy for those who struggle to make a living. I have been there! It is not easy but when government steps in and hands it to you, that is not the solution. When something is "free", it has no value.
Welfare should be a temporary solution, not a lifestyle.
Why not put welfare recipients to work sweeping sidewalks, picking up garbage tossed on the streets, or cleaning the hallways and offices of the government officials who have ensured their ability to receive.
