Bloomberg: Obama ‘not particularly interested in business’
The Daily Caller ^ | Sept. 30, 2010 | Jon Ward

Posted on 09/30/2010 9:47:03 PM PDT by Free ThinkerNY

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg on Thursday gave a mixed but decidedly negative review of President Obama’s economic policies, saying that the reason for joblessness is uncertainty in the private sector caused by government and that the president is uninterested in business.

Bloomberg, speaking at the Atlantic Washington Ideas Forum, also said he favored extending the Bush tax cuts for all brackets for at least two years, and implied that Obama’s desire to raise taxes on those making more than $250,000 a year is a step toward class warfare.

“What I don’t like about the tax cuts is creating a class society,” Bloomberg said of the president’s stated solution. “If you’re going to do something for somebody, you should do it for everybody.”

The mayor, one of the richest Americans who owns one of the world’s largest media companies, Bloomberg L.P., said he agreed with Obama’s former budget director, Peter Orszag, who wrote in the New York Times immediately upon leaving the White House that the tax cuts should be extended for two years for all brackets.

But it was within Bloomberg’s call to support Obama that his most barbed criticism of the president was veiled. Bloomberg said that it was unfair for critics to say Obama hid his true nature from voters during the 2008 campaign.

“Obama never said he would be anything other than what he is now. He is a liberal guy, very pro-union, not particularly interested in business. He said this,” Bloomberg said. “And everybody said, ‘Oh, he’ll change when he gets in there.’ I have more respect for him for not changing. This is what the public wanted and I think we should all pull behind the president and help him as much as we can.”

Bloomberg: Obama ‘not particularly interested in business’

This is just not true. Obama is certainly interested in business. Interested in destroying business that is.

Shut the Hell up, Bloomy. You suck up to your little black god when it benefits you. These little noises you’re now making are pointless. You’re useless to New York and America. Go live with your EuroTrash buddies; we’re sick of you, you little weasel.

Exactly what I'd expect an insulated billionaire to say. Its all a game, who gives a sh*t? It's not like it's going to cost him enough money that he would miss, is it?

Not sure why, but I’m awfully surprised to hear Bloomers say this.

There’s no way he can be in line for any Admin post, as rumored recently, with this stance on taxation and economics. Barry wouldn’t stand for it.

...the reason for joblessness is uncertainty in the private sector caused by government and that the president is uninterested in business.

Mixed feelings about this. First reaction is: yeah, what do you expect from a hard-left Marxist/socialist? They hate businesses, wealth, and the independence that come with it. On the other hand, after seeing how hussein {expletive}s-up everything he touches, maybe it is a good thing he's generally un-interested in business. After all, how are the big banks doing? How's GM or Chrysler looking? Anyone investing in health-insurance companies? Oil exploration?

...implied that Obama’s desire to raise taxes on those making more than $250,000 a year is a step toward class warfare.

A step? A step! hussein and his minions are doing everything they can to initiate class warfare. They demonize success, put down "the rich" the banks, the insurance companies, etc. It is Kim Jong-Il writ large: give the masses someone else to hate. In Kim's case, it's us. In hussein's case, it is a litany of the usual liberal boogiemen...

Uncertainty” is not the problem. The problem is the certainty of 0bamanomics.

0bamanomics is composed of higher taxes (massive tax increase next January, cap and trade), higher government spending (“stimulus”, massive budget increases), theft (Chrysler bondholder’s value), extortion (BP’s $20 billion payoff), rewarding failure (bailouts, extension of unemployment benefits), bribery (the purchase of votes for 0bamacare), nationalization private enterprises (0bamaCare, Autos, Student Loans, etc.), regulatory destruction (insurance markets, oil drilling bans), physical destruction (cash for clunkers), economic distortion (homebuyer tax credits), massive permanent fiscal deficits, and daily demonization and threats against businesses, entrepreneurs, employers, and profit.

0bamanomics will certainly continue to destroy wealth, investment opportunities and job creation until it is intellectually, morally and legislatively defeated, and replaced with the primacy of the freedom of people and markets.

Marxist thugs who dressed up Islam and more recently Obama to make them presentable to the public want class warfare. That’s their aim. The Islamic guidebook, the Koran, instructs in violence, as does the Marxist holy book, Das Capital. If the Marxists and the Islamicists with their class warfare that they’ve been stirring up for four decades are allowed to continue down the road to world destruction, Bloomberg will lose more than his bully pulpit.

To say he’s not interested in business is putting it mildly; does Bloomberg really believe that this is what people wanted? That must be why his party is getting thrashed, his personal popularity is shot, and all the bumper stickers have disappeared from everywhere but the deepest slums and college campuses.

Maybe if Mike keeps repeating this crap, it will come true...
