Draconian new equality laws could spell the end of the office joke. Ministers yesterday announced that the vast bulk of Labours controversial Equality Act would be implemented immediately, despite concerns about its impact on business and office life.

I am offended.
We need to put these Labour party people on the DO NOT ADMIT lists ~ keep them out of here and off the immigration application lists. Canada should be shut down tight lest this cr*p metastasize or something.
Ah,those daffy Brits
What a culture in freefall!
I am very offended by homosexuals and non believers of my Lord, Jesus Christ. . PLEASE LET ME SUE!!!
They should start using these very laws to sue the beejezus out of the libs who created it—constant, ceaseless flood of exactly the crap they’ve asked for.
Were Brits ever funny? Their jokes are not funny. Maybe this is a good thing.
Somehow I think they aren't after "the crap they've asked for", or equality, or anything else they claim to represent.
They want to overload the courts with frivolous claims until they collapse.
When traditional justice is gone, something will step in and fill the vacuum. What do you suppose it will be?
Crap like this leads to an implosion and many decent people suffer unnecessarily through the course.
I don’t know of instances where stuff like this was not rolled back without serious civil unrest.
And this is supposed to be the conservative/center left coalition? With consevatives like these, who needs a far left? Britain is so over.
Who is John Galt?
Am I missing something? We’ve had rules against “offensive” jokes and behavior in the U.S. workplace since the early ‘90s. Sure, this law may go a little farther, but pretty much office banter went away a long time ago here.
Looks like 2081 is just around the corner...

I laughed my head off at many episodes of “Fawlty Towers.”
That image offends me.
You’d better have your wallet ready when you arrive in your new home.
That knock on your door? It’s a subpoena. I was just waiting for you so say something offensive! [:0
