In his opening monologue, Stewart asked people to make a donation to help autism education but added a caveat: "If you went on radio and said the Jews control the media…you may want to hold on to your money," according to the Hollywood Reporter.
But, the fun didn't stop there.
Stewart went on to say that if Sanchez's comments about Jewish people were accurate, "All he has to do is apologize to us, and we'll hire him back."
In his ill-advised radio remarks, Sanchez labeled Stewart a "bigot" and snarkily claimed Jewish people ran "all the other networks." CNN quickly gave him the boot.
Also piling on at Saturday night's event was surprise guest David Letterman, who cracked that he was in town "helping Rick Sanchez clean out his office."

Sanchez should have been fired long ago. The guy has absolutely no talent for being an on-air “journalist.” You could also tell that his mouth is directly engaged to his brain, so it was only a matter of time before he stepped in it.
This is the correct view. He is just not that smart and holds to ridiculous positions long after being intellectually stripped naked. He is another tinny liberal voice, dumber than most, attracting more attention in the hysterical insults he garnered rather than the wisdom he rendered. In every debate battle he brings the knife to a gun fight. Now he lashes out in one of the most stupidest diatribes - blaming it on the Jews - more evidence of a bottom shelf mind trying to compete in a top shelf world.
Liberals will protect stupid for a long time - look at Ed Schultz, Dan Rather, Larry King, Sam Donaldson, Katie Couric, Brian Williams, the View, etc. etc. Now Sanchez has put himself outside the city walls. A moron in exile.
