Yeah, there’s defintely talent...and by creating sensationalism (clothes, etc.) she creates a buzz. I was actually rather surprised when I started listening to her w/out all the backup instrumentals. She has a very powerful voice and is a talented musician.

BTW, best Lady Gaga parody on youtube...I don’t know who these guys are, but they did a good job.

I guess she’s big enough that Weird Al did a parody of Poker Face, called (naturally) Polka Face.

I figured this out watching her Swedish concerts ~ they're all done in what seem to be highschool or college gymnasiums, on smaller stages, with your basic sound equipment ~ kind of like what you'd have for a local rock band performance.

She plays the instruments. She leads the dances. She sings the songs.

All very entertaining, and her audiences were primarily female! Several sources have said she actually speaks Swedish at some of these concerts but I didn't find that ~ but it's like the Beatles made their bones in German clubs and sang in German.

I've gone looking for a ladies dancing association that provides accomplishment points for the type of dance Gaga is into ~ haven't found it yet, but it'll be there, just like competitive Hip Hop.
