Obama reshapes administration for a fresh strategy
LA Times ^ | October 6, 2010 | Peter Nicholas and Christi Parsons

As President Obama remakes his senior staff, he is also shaping a new approach for the second half of his term: to advance his agenda through executive actions he can take on his own, rather than pushing plans through an increasingly hostile Congress..."It's fair to say that the next phase is going to be less about legislative action than it is about managing the change that we've brought," White House senior advisor David Axelrod said...

So the best arena for Obama to execute his plans may be his own branch of government. That means more executive orders, more use of the bully pulpit, and more deployment of his ample regulatory powers and the wide-ranging rulemaking authority of his Cabinet members...

With healthcare and financial regulatory packages passed, the Obama administration is now focused on putting the measures in place, which could change the way Americans get medical treatment, take out mortgages and deal with banks and credit card companies.

One area of likely administration action is climate change. Legislation curbing emissions that cause global warming is stalled in Congress. Such efforts have a goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions to 17% below 2005 levels over the next decade.

The Obama administration does not think it can achieve the same reductions through regulation alone. Nonetheless, the Environmental Protection Agency is determined to use its regulatory power under the Clean Air Act to begin lowering emissions, in the absence of congressional action....

A major effort is also underway to set up the regulatory apparatus aimed at preventing another collapse of the financial system. Regulators are drafting hundreds of new rules required by the recently enacted financial overhaul, such as subjecting bank holding companies and other institutions to stricter regulation....

It’s also known as a shake-up. It’s because they aren’t doing well in the polls.

Watch the LA Times as it tries to make a shake-up look like a good thing.

Besides assureing his Fascist base.

Zero is having his OWN burning of the Reichstag without the fire.

Can anyone say impeachment.

But the important thing is to immediately DEFUND the agencies he uses to enforce his Fascist agenda.

“to advance his agenda through executive actions he can take on his own”

If this was Dubya, could you imagine the word “fascist” getting alot more play? This will get no mention in the MSM and the public will take no notice until it’s too late. Our democacy is in not only in jeopardy but will soon be on life support.

Defund and Disobey! His regulatory powers are null if the agencies don’t receive funds from Congress. This fraud is a true fascist.

He will also use the EPA to further his goals. The EPA, like the Education Department needs to be abolished before they ruin this country. They both have to much power without the consent of Congress and the people.

“Environmental Protection Agency is determined to use its regulatory power under the Clean Air Act to begin lowering emissions”

This is Newspeak for “begin intimidating and extorting from industry to further the totalitarian agenda of Obama.”

Obama is reading the writing on the wall.He was the most partisan Senator while he served in the Senate. He is so far left he in incapable of being bipartisan and needs heavy Dem majorities in Congress to work his will. They will be gone after November and now his game plan will be to try to ramrod the rest of his leftist agenda thru executive orders and regulatory authority and circumvent Congress. Clinton was a different breed of cat. He was not an ideologue like Obama and was able to move to closer to the center after he lost the Dem majority in 1994.And was able to get reelected.Obama will remain in left field and hopefully will be defeated in 2012.

The republicans need to stop this moron in his tracks by launching investigations into every nook & cranny of the executive branch starting February 1, 2011.

Additionally, Congress needs to limit all funds available to the executive branch and starve every Czar and staff expenditure for Mybelle on down.

Obama reshapes administration for a fresh strategy

Always count on the corrupt MSM to support their beloved dear leader.

In other words, the S.S. Obama is sinking fast and they are frantically trying to salvage the ship before it sinks to the to the bottom of the ocean, including installing Hillary Clinton as the Captain's 1st Mate.

If I’ve said it one, I’ve said it 100 times here on FR (for months now) - Obama isn’t concerned about November elections...or Congress, for that matter.

Yes, exactly. The big battle will be over the health care bill. Obama knows that Health Care sets us on the path to Socialism. Now that 30 million more people have health care, do the Republicans have the political will to take it away from them?

That’s the biggest issue facing the next Congress. If Republicans have the guts to repeal it, then Obama will veto it in GRAND FASHION ON NATIIONAL TV. Then the propaganda war is on. All of the media, academia, and special interests will attack the Republicans 24/7. The 30 million newly covered under the health care plan will then be registered to vote by Acorn. Then the 2012 election will decide the fate of our Republic.
