US Army Gen. Petraeus to Pakistan : Stop collaborating with Taliban
New York Daily News ^ | October 8th 2010, | James Gordon Meek

Where are the Taliban and their one-eyed leader Mullah Omar hiding out? Where's the Afghan Haqqani network now based? The answer, of course, is Pakistan.

It used to be a dirty little secret no one spoke about publicly. That changed in the past few years, but an apparent U.S. blunder involving an airstrike inside Pakistan that killed two of its border scouts could knock such overt criticism of our paradoxical ally off the table again.

Seriously, did anyone really expect jihadist-infested Pakistan to be on our side in the WOT? ....regardless of how many billion$ we throw their way? If so, it shows an unfathomable ignorance of the nature of our enemy.

Pakistan is truly a made up nation. It is a moslem nation. It, supposedly, has nuclear weapons. It is not a friend of the west.

perhaps a 180 degree, turn around, of pak missles, is in order, should they launch. I really hope this is possible, of course, nothing is impossible.

> They are real and they are functional.

To be fucntional, they need to be maintained fastidiously. Don’t know if they can keep up in Pokiston. If they can, it’s probably because of our “military aid”.

We need to turn Afghanistan against Pakistan to even have a chance. Pakistan sees us as ruining their plans so they will do anything to make sure Af stays away from US /Indian orbit.

March on Pakistan—seize their Nukes, Rockets and Nuke plats. They are too unstable to be independent and have these toys. Clean these folks out and put in a real government. They are NOT our friends and they have been playing us for far too long.

Why should they? Obama's announced that we're out of Afghanistan in 2011. We're a short-term presence in Afghanistan, and Pakistan plans to get back to business as usual with the Taliban once we leave. In the meantime, Pakistan will continue telling us to STFU and hand over more millions. And we will.

In Seattle we have a talk show host, Brian Suits, that served in Iraq - an artillary Captain. He is wired into a bunch of the US and NATO intelligence guys in Paki and Afghanistan.

Basically, Pakistan wants the war to keep going and a high enough level that we don't dare pull out - and a low enough level that we don't declare victory and leave. Why?? - they want to keep the Billions of $$$ in aid flowing - much of which goes to fund the Taliban to keep the war going. The ISI tells the Taliban when they can excalate and when to lie low.

Victory in Afghanistan is not rocket science.

It could be accomplished with 1/4 the current troop levels at 1/4 the current costs and eventually turn a profit.

In triangular formations so they are mutually supporting build old style Primary Forts out of ISO Containers stacked 3-4 high-2-3 deep. Large enough for a Bn of Artillery, Infantry and Light Armor Bradleys at minimum between them.

Build them surrounding primary trade routes throughout the country,

Require all trade and persons moving from one region to the other to pass thru a Check Point in the center of the Triangle.

Attack and kill without notice any persons caught trying to bypass the Check Points

Use Biometric ID technology to ID without an ID Card everyone who passes. (It doesn't matter who they say they are the first time and where they say they are from.. using the proper database you can begin tracking and ferret out those who are legitimately traveling to do business and those engaged in other activities.

Build smaller Local Fortresses under the umbrella of Artillery from the Primary Forts.

Map out the country by regional loyalties. Tribes, Clans etc.

Make special note of who hates who. Inter-clan, inter tribal rivalries as well.

Select 300-500 Army Lts and teach them to actually speak the various dialects (this can be done by immersion in less than a year if done properly).

Send a letter/envoy to each of the various major tribal and clan leaders noticing them one of our Lts will be marrying one or more of their better looking daughters.

The Daughter/s and Lt along with their kids will reside in the small fortress with a security contingent.

If anything happens to our Lt or his family.. we will by force turn the lands, women and animals of the offending tribe over to their most hated rival.. Killing the men of the offending tribe.

If we follow thru.. the Afgan leaders will clue in real quick. (Be sure to put some vertical spikes somewhere down wind of the fort.. because our “Fathers in Law” will be placing the heads of trouble makers of any stripe on them to keep peace with their In laws... (That's US)..

A novel approach?

Hardly, unbeknownst to most folks there are still enclaves of those who proudly claim lineage to Alexander the Great and the Greeks who did just this a thousand plus years ago they are not Muslim but Zorastrians....

Whom our current crop of Incompetent Leaders predictably fail to support so they must fight the Islamofacists on their own while Iran and others financially back and equip the Taliban attacking them.

Our current crop of Pretty Boy GQ Magazine Cover Pretty Boy Generals and Admirals are just to busy at the Command General Staff Colledge playing footsie with the State Department to bother concerning themselves with Victory.

The Afghans are a tribal and clan people. Many intelligent and good looking people (green eyes blue eyes and the like are not uncommon).. They are not Arabs or of the Arabic Culture. Given the right combination of carrot and stick they will make accommodations to different faiths.

All the money in the world cannot buy the loyalty of real Americans "Clinging to their Guns and Bibles" (as the Left is finding out here)..

Why would anyone think we can buy the loyalty of Afganis.. We cannot..

But we can make them a part of our Tribe, something we have done before and if Victory is our real goal something we can do in Afghanistan.

Of course we have to toss the Isalmofacist Supporters from the reigns of power in our own midst before this could happen..to defeat the Islamic Petro Dollar whores/Faux Leaders of the West Elected, Appointed and Coporate here at home and to create mechanisms to prevent the re-capture and perversion of our institutions of power in the future
