Republican candidate for governor Carl P. Paladino told a gathering in Williamsburg Sunday that children should not be “brainwashed” into thinking that homosexuality is acceptable, and criticized his opponent, Democrat Andrew M. Cuomo, for marching in a gay pride parade earlier this year.
Addressing Orthodox Jewish leaders, in Williamsburg, Mr. Paladino described his opposition to same-sex marriage.
“That’s not how God created us,” he said, reading from a prepared address. "I just think my children and your children would be much better off and much more successful getting married and raising a family, and I don’t want them brainwashed into thinking that homosexuality is an equally valid and successful option — it isn’t."
And then, to applause from the group at Congregation Shaarei Chaim, he said: “I didn’t march in the gay parade this year — the gay pride parade this year. My opponent did and that’s not the example we should be showing our children.”
Newsday.com reported that Mr. Paladino's prepared text also included a sentence saying: "There is nothing to be proud of in being a dysfunctional homosexual.'' But Mr. Paladino omitted that statement when he gave the speech.
About an hour after Mr. Paladino’s remarks, Mr. Cuomo’s campaign released a statement condemning them..
“Mr. Paladino’s statement displays a stunning homophobia and a glaring disregard for basic equality,” it said. “These comments along with other views he has espoused make it clear that he is way out of the mainstream and is unfit to represent New York.”
Mr. Paladino declined a request to be interviewed after his appearance, but his campaign manager, Michael R. Caputo, denied that the candidate is antigay, and noted that he employs an openly gay man on his campaign staff.

About 17 yrs. ago I was a young mom with 2 boys. We lived in an apartment complex with many other young families. We were all stay at home moms and would be out with our kids all day. My best friend had a militant lesbian couple who lived next door. One afternoon we were sitting on the front steps and they came home and tried to get ugly with us, calling us breeders and just mauling eachother trying to antagonize us.....I’ll just say they did it that one time and never again. They would stay indoors when we were out there.
But this is OK too...

I have only seen 2 cuomo signs- one posted in someone's derelict business and another on a slum house.
Remember THE POLLS had Paladino tied with Lazio in the primaries- (48-47)
then he beat him by 25% (62-37)

Notice the title. Then take note of the fact that the NYSlimes says he never said it.
He may win, and he may not. With all the commie secretaries of state running elections, I dont trust in fair elections anymore. And after sooo many were bamboozled in ‘08, there are large segments of the electorate i simply dont trust.
i live in the Big Cesspool-eerrr, Apple, so i have a somewhat decent read on the Como- Pally race, too.

38 states have voted for one man, one woman laws for marriage. Paladino's statement will NOT hurt him with voters.
The majority of Americans do not support homosexual “marriage” and they aren’t Cardinals.
