I generally remain uneasy about the transfer of any military technology to China, even a plane that was designed over 50 years ago. I doubt they will be receiving any classified technology. But depending on the model of C-130 the Chinese government receives, the Herc’ could still potentially lead to improvements in their own engine design and avionics designs.

More importantly, I don’t like the timing of all this. Would the administration even be looking at this deal if they didn’t need the Chinese to keep buying up our debt?

Just my dos pesos, of course.

This sale, if it goes through, will be the gate which opens sales from other Western countries to China - the same gate, which, for now, remains shut.

It isn’t about the C-130s. It’s beyond that.

This comes out when the Dems are blasting the GOP for supposedly getting Chinese bucks through the Chamber of Commerce.

Is the attack on the GOP a diversion from this matter?

Who’s in bed with China???????
