EXCLUSIVE: New Pakistani Taliban Operative Feared Inside U.S. After Times Square Failure

I thought, a tremendous amount of time, about what I would type back to you. I realize you are correct. I have little more I can say, other than, I Pray for our Troops Victory, yet realize the odds are not with us. I have friends who have seen this region up close and personal. The stories I have heard lead me to believe there is no changing the mindset of the people our troops are attempting to liberate. These people, who we desire to make friends, have known nothing but hardships all their lives. Their very will to think for themselves, beyond a few petty desires are nonexistent. Most everyone, who has been there and has an opinion of these people, the men of this region, have a less than favorable attitude toward not only the men, who they have met on the battlefield, and the general male population. There are various reasons for the thinking of those who I have talked with, concerning the will of these people to govern themselves, beyond having a young boy as a toy. Yes what I am saying sounds harsh, but the males of this country look upon having a child (boy) slave for their desires as a signal of great wealth. How does someone deal with this type of culture? I do not have answers for the real work which is ahead. I am shocked when I speak with someone who has been there.

I understand what you are saying. We are dealing with a culture that has been taught since birth that Christians are to be coverted or killed. It will be interesting to see when we finally get out of there, if they have even given the slightest thought to a different attitude. I think we all know what the answer to that will be, unfortunately, we have a state dept and NATO that are working feverishly to bring the Taliban back into the Government. This can only return Afganistan BACK to the nightmare it was before we went into this godforsaken Country.

I have thought about the repurcussion of calling for our troops to come home. But, I do not see the death of one more American Soldier in Afganistan changing the outcome, especially with this Administrations Foreign Policy.
