“This is the celebrated district held by Rangel for 40 years and, before that, by his legendary predecessor and fellow Democrat Adam Clayton Powell since it was created in 1944. Once known as “the Harlem district,” the 15th now includes the upper West Side of Manhattan, East Harlem, Washington Heights, Inwood, and Marble Hill (Bronx). According to the latest registration figures, there are 323,521 registered Democrats in the district, and only 21, 721 registered Republicans.”

It’s hard to believe that black people have been enslaved to a black master for so long.

One way or another, this is Rangel’s LAST term in Congress. Everyone is positioning themselves for 2012..

This is why term limits should be seriously considered. The office of the president has term limits and I see a strong case for term limits for congressman and senators as well.

Voters in Rangel's district need to ask themselves this question:

How much power will Rangel have in a Republican-controlled House of Representatives?

I have a theory about here, i have an opinion that certain quarters within the dems are working actively to make Rangel lose, after all, the only way to get him out of that seat is either get him to lose or out feet first and the ole b$$$$$$ will hang on til he’s 100.

I figure they think even if its for one term, put a repub in to get the man out.
