Don't blame me for gay teen suicides
New York Post ^ | Maggie Gallagher

Do I have blood on my hands?

Major gay-rights groups are saying so. Each of us who opposes gay mar riage, they say, is responsible for the terrible and tragic suicides of gay teens that recently hit the news.

If they now suddenly believe we are shaped by our environment they must take responsibility for each serviceman that commits suicide.

I blame gay activists for these suicides. Sensitive teens are told they can never change and that everyone around them H8s them. They already feel different and rejected, even if it’s just perception, and then to feel utterly hopeless... well, that’s a recipe for suicide. Very sad, but blood will be on the hands of those who prey on these teens and preach a message of hopelessness.

It’s the advocates of the lifestyle that have the blood on their hands, and like so many Leftists, as it’s their SOP they project their guilt onto others.

An irresponsible lot.

The school wanted my kids to wear purple in memory of these kids.

Yep - what’s to look forward to for a young kid who has been recruited into the “lifestyle” - especially once he’s been to a few parties and discovered that it’s all about getting off, not relationships. You get repeatedly sodomized until you catch aids and die, and there’s no hope for it to change. There will be a special place in hell for the people who recruit kids to be sperm banks for fags and who push the “born that way” myth and who suppress the fact that they can get out of the trap.

“And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.

“Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to sin! Such things must come, but woe to the man through whom they come!” Matthew 18:5-7 (NIV)

Typical libtard drivel. When something bad happens it is never the fault of the people that perpetrate it. No no no... In the libtard view, there is no such thing as personal accountability and responsibility, you must always find a scapegoat. It is just a plus if that scapegoat can somehow be made out of an employed, married, straight, white, Christian, male...no matter how twisted the logic.

Hey, why don't they just blame racist, pro 2nd Amendment, capitalist, insurance Company employees that are members of their local Chamber of Commerce? That way they could hit all the current liberal boogeymen at once.

Yeah, this week some of my family members on Facebook have been all over it this. They are in their early 30s and have bought into the 'we have to save the homosexual teens from bullying' idea. These folks seem to forget that LOTS of kids get bullied in high school, not just homosexual ones. I don't see anyone making big public pushes for anti-bullying for fat kids, or nerdy kids, or really smart kids. I suspect it's just another way to try to guilt everyone into acceptance of the homosexual lifestyle, for the children.

Maggie Gallagher is right, even in MA, where homosexual marriage is legal, homosexual kids are still killing themselves, so it's obviously NOT the push against homosexual marriage that is causing it.

While I fell sympathy for these folks, you can NOT blame others around them. Regardless if they are mean or brutish with their comments, it is the individual that has to endure with their beliefs. It IS a very personal problem and you can not blame others for their actions. That is true of all that contemplate or actually carry out suicide.

Yes, I know you can come up will all kinds of actions that may have contributed to the action, but you are wrong - it is and will always be up the the individual and how they cope with life.

It’s hard when defending against many problems in life - it is just that sometimes people are not up to it... Maybe our schools ought to be preparing students for this instead of many other superfluous subjects.

Oh, opposing gay marriage leads to gay suicides, eh? So there are probably no straight, married people who commit suicide, right? Because marriage is the cure for suicidal depression, right?

Yah. Yah, that's the ticket. Marriage will make them so happy they'll never want it to end. Yah, that's right. Yah.

Fake data.

Homosexual Urban Legend: 30% Of Teen Suicide Victims Are Homosexuals

http://www.traditionalvalues.org/urban/five.php

For more than a decade, Traditional Values Coalition has been repeatedly exposing the myth of an “epidemic” of “homosexual” teen suicides.

Now, a psychologist has published the results of two studies that-once again-expose the Homosexual Urban Legend that teens who have homosexual feelings are committing suicides in record numbers.

Homosexual activists have repeatedly claimed for more than ten years that 30% of all teens who have attempted suicide are homosexuals. The mythological 30% figure was concocted by a homosexual social worker named Paul Gibson who wrote “Gay Male and Lesbian Youth Suicide,” published in 1989. It has been thoroughly debunked, but homosexuals continue to use the figure because it supports their political and social agenda.

This 30% myth has been used over and over again to convince public school officials to establish pro-homosexual counseling programs, special clubs for homosexuals run by Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) teenagers, and sensitivity/anti-homophobia training sessions to convince straight students that homosexual behavior is normal.

The latest studies that expose the 30% urban legend appear in the December, 2001 issue of Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology. The author of these studies is Cornell University psychologist Ritch Savin-Williams.
