It will take more than 1 election to make such a drastic change. We got a late start (who’s fault is that?), from awakening from our lumber this election.

2012 and beyond is a whole different ballgame.

Just so that there is no confusion: my attitude is exactly the same as Jim DeMint’s. I don’t want a hollow, meaningless victory. The country can’t wait for a series of partial election victories to straighten this mess out.

The Republicans WILL have the power to cut the budget by anything they choose to do. The Brits are making 19% one. 19%!!!!!!

OTOH, I haven’t seen more than a handful of Republicans promising more than a few cutbacks, let alone the elimination of huge agencies and the like. Because that’s what it is going to take. The yearly deficit is 10% of the entire GDP and about 40% of the entire federal budget.

And yet some conservatives are happy that they got McConnell - kicking and screaming - to finally agree to only ATTEMPT to repeal. Sheeeeeeesh.
