Q2. Did the local kids think it was just the creepy old lady from neighborhood watch?
Remember the creepy old neighbor in the original Home Alone comedy?
Well he played Ed Gein (the basis of the movie Psycho) in a 1970s movie called "Deranged".
And the real Ed Gein used to babysit. There weren't any reports that he physically abused the kids but he would show them things he'd made (like bowls made from human skulls) and the kids would tell their parents about the creepy things he'd shown them and they would dismiss the stories.
