"Isn’t this the same location as the last big tsunami that hit over there?"

Based on the map posted at #7 this quake is about the same offshore distance but 200+ miles farther down the coast in a SE direction than the 2004 quake.

Rodents of Unusual Size?

In the US most always over 5 feet in height and given to lies, smears, fraudulent voter registrations and ballot stuffing. Need a strong, continuous offense of truth to expose and eliminate.

Well that’s good- they have their hands full anyway- waiting for a volcano to pop anytime

9 times out of 10, they always cancel the tsunami warning or the tsunami is tiny, just a few feet.

Of course, we shouldn’t take them lightly.

Was on a project in Banda Aceh a year before the big tsunami, at a cement plant right next to the epicenter. I heard the plant and all village was all gone as it was hit by 125’ tsunami only seconds after the quake.

You could tell the Banda Aceh people had a pirate philosophy, but were very pleasant folks and the area was beautiful.

Didn't see any giant rats, but did get challenged by a big Monitor lizard on a lonely stretch of beach. A bit unnerving even if it wasn't a Komodo.

Sumatra coffee and cigar wrapper are tasty.

“Tsunami alert canceled.”

Just Damn!!

I’m still hedging my bets on the volcano.

Surf’s up!!!

LOL! You ever read a book called Lucifier's Hammer?? Sci-Fi book about a comet that hits the earth. Post apocalyptic. Great book. The comet calves just before impact and one of the pieces hits offshore of Los Angeles or someplace like that. A bunch of surfers are there and they catch the HUGE wave... like 400 feet tall. One by one they fall off their boards and of course die, but the best surfer in the group makes it like a mile inland or more and he feels like maybe he's going to live although he's still moving at about 150mph when he sees a giant skyscraper right in his path like a huge flyswatter....
