It's about time someone in the dinosaur media called BS on “official” unemployment numbers.

According to the government, if you have given up looking for a job because you can't find one, you are no longer unemployed!!!

By this twisted “logic”, if the government could stop everyone from looking for a job they could drive the official unemployment rate to zero. Problem solved!

60 Minutes picked out about the WORST example of high unemployment in an educated workforce that they could find. Not that this isn't a bad economy for everyone, but it's worse for some than for others. I can't imagine that 60 Minutes doesn't have an agenda. Unemployment among black teenagers is about 50%, it's about 5% for individuals with a bachelor's degree.
