Thank God for Al Gore. There would be no FreeRepublic if he hadn’t invented the Internet!

Bill Gates would have never been able to create a company called, Microsoft, if he had not had that Government garage to work out of...

The best things government has done are the things that facilitated trade and expansion. The Lewis and Clark expedition is a good example of that and for much of their trip they were following fur traders (Entrepreneurs) who had gone before.

NASA should have been the same thing but we signed that idiotic outer space treaty and forever eliminated the possibility of real profit from space. Why blaze a trail if you’re going to prevent anyone from following?
