So you happened to talk to a statistically valid cross-section of hundreds of likely voters distributed across the entire state? Remarkable.
Us?
Never been in NY?
Are you a NYer? What part of NY?
Primary polling is notoriously unreliable, general election polling is not.
If the polling were even remotely close I'd agree they could be wrong, but Paladino is losing by like 20+ points in virtually every poll. He isn't even competitive.
You make excuses for buying what they're selling. I'll talk to NYers.
Slacker.... You didn't even call me a troll, or tell me to go back to DU.
lol... whatever.
You sound paranoid and conspiratorial - and your burying your head in the sand if you think Paladino has even the slightest chance of winning. That race is a complete write off. The most we can hope is that Paladino doesn't hurt us too badly down ballot.
Reporting Voter Fraud
The Republican Party has set up a National Hotline, which will be staffed with Attorneys to handle polling issues as well as possible voter fraud or intimidation.
1 - 888 - 775 - 8117. IF you even SUSPECT this is happening, PLEASE call for their free advice.
The electorate is fired up and the Dems are desperate to hang on to power. This is a power struggle and is NOT the usual scenario for elections.
Polls are used to influence the electorate.
I remember Hillary winning and Freepers reporting seeing poll workers dumping bags of ballots in the Bronx. That's not paranoia.
Yes, the media uses polls to influence the electorate, but many polls are sound.
ALL polls, even polls done by Rasmussen, point to the same thing right now. Paladino will simply be crushed on Tuesday and lose so badly he may significantly damage conservatives down ballot.
He turned out to be a terrible, awful candidate. Period.
It isn't Tuesday yet. I don't count the votes before they're cast.
Again, this isn't a normal election.
It'd be great if Paladino won, but that's probably not going to happen. So in the aftermath of the election, you've got a choice. You could sit back and moan about the stupid electorat in New York State; or you and like-minded others in New York might start thinking about getting serious and organized, in order to channel all of that electoral energy into something useful and effective.
This is why people believe that you are a troll.
It's not "facts," it's you making assertions ... and your assertions speak mostly to your emotional investment in the results of this election.
The Dems have a LOT riding on the midterms. If you think Progressives (socialists) are going to let go easily, think again.
The electorate is fired up and the Dems are desperate to hang on to power. This is a power struggle and is NOT the usual scenario for elections.
Extremely well said. I really don't know what alternate universe some of these people are living in, but we need them to break free of lala land and return to reality. The job going forward is going to be tough, and we're going to need everyone on the same page. This is going to mean learning from, and avoiding going forward, the mistakes made this election cycle which included nominating some very poor candidates like Paladino. This should be an excellent cycle for us and to not even be competitive in a state like New York was an incredible waste.
Rejecting the polls is just silly. And people apparently have short memories too because LOTS of folks here buried their heads in the sand and rejected the polls in 2006 and 2008, and well we all see what happened and how accurate the polls did turn out to be.
This part? The Dems have a LOT riding on the midterms. If you think Progressives (socialists) are going to let go easily, think again.
Or this: The electorate is fired up and the Dems are desperate to hang on to power. This is a power struggle and is NOT the usual scenario for elections.
I have still have a goldwater button, so all I can say is when I helped campaign as a teenager, people told me he was a loose cannon. Everyone likes the smooth politician. Yet people hate to hear the truth. You may say what you want about paladino, but lazio wasn’t the answer and certainly not cuomo. In times like this, honesty is the best policy, not political hogwash.
