Paladino “somehow got nominated” by crushing little Ricky Lazy-O, a squishy, weak-kneed hack who was purposely backed by D’Amato to gift an easy race to Cuomo.

Yeah, Lazio was horrible too. No doubt. But in the whole huge state of New York, we couldn't find a couple decent primary options? Seriously? Lazio may be terrible, but Paladino will probably end up having been even worse.

I wouldn't count on it. Paladino is not a career politician. He's a very successful businessman in a state which seems hellbent on running people like him out.

He knows what this state needs because he's been on the receiving end of it. He was instrumental in finally getting the tolls taken off the I 190, as they were supposed to have been years before they were.

What are you looking for in a *decent* candidate? Someone who is a namby-pamby suck up, not wanting to offend anyone else? Or someone who sees what's wrong and tells it like it is and has the cajones to take it on? We certainly won't be getting any of that from Lazio or Cuomo.

We're sick of namby-pamby suck ups who promise us the world on a silver platter and twist the knife they just stuck in our backs after they got elected.
