I hate Pelosi too but don’t take it out on the poor Giants or their fans... Most of us do not live in the city (In fact I live in Texas now) and I don’t think the people voting for her are baseball fans. I’m 52 years old and I’m still waiting to see my beloved Giants win their first series in my lifetime. Also this team is not a bunch of bums... they are a bunch of team players... They belong here, they beat Philly and they are beating the Rangers because they are earning it. What could be more American than earning what you get?
I still remember the heartbreak of watching Willie Mays take on Sandy Koufax. That curve ball had his number. Despite those many disappointments, I loved that "Say hey kid." He was the complete player, what baseball was all about, and all heart, every game. All those years finishing in second place, to LA, to St. Louis... it didn't matter; it was always second. Winning it all would be good.
