As a student of human nature and politics, I've come to the decision that \Tuesday's victory will be much larger than anyone anticipates. Aside from the increased and steady momentum the Republicans have, one big point has yet to be covered, but keep your eyes on the western returns later in the evening.

At the very least, Dem voters out west are suffering from an enthusiasm gap, which will only grow stronger later in the day. And it only takes 5% to give up to turn alot of races towards the 'Pubbies.
re: Amazing how prescient they were
Look how correct they were in limiting the top office in the land to natural born citizens.
NO NO NO!!!!! I ehard last week on fox news that Soros has verbalized his intent to attack our electoral college soon! We need to educate as many people as we can about the importance of perserving this system. That’s on the progressives’ to-do list!!!
I live in CA, and I care very much how WV votes. A single vote cast in the Senate or the House affects us all, e.g. THANK YOU, BART STUPAK, and the voters of Michigan for dragging Obamacare over the finish line.
At the same time, in the interest of fairness, I apologize to the entire country for Nancy Pelosi, Henry Waxman, and Barbara Boxer. Mea culpa. Mea maxima culpa.
Crazy like a fox. You make a very good point. I'm sure those 'moderate' dems will be shell shocked by the election results and be more than eager to 'reach across the aisle'. LOL!
My own congressman in Pittsburgh engineered the Stupak sellout. He brokered the deal between Obama, Pelosi, and the “pro-life” democrats. There’s a real conservative woman running against this jackass but since she’s not an establishment REpublican, she’s been ignored. It’s a shame because I think this congressman single-handedly enabled ObamaCare to pass. No one is picking up on that, though.

I believe it is only a little more than 1/3rd of the Senate up for election.
Too bad, because if they were all up, like the House, we would sweep them out.
I think the RINO's like Collins (up in 2014) and Snowe (up in 2012) may start swinging back to the right so as to deflect a primary challenge from the right. We could get 2 good years out of her, instead of worrying about backstabbing, and "crossing the aisle."
Just another "unintended consequence" of a blow-out victory.
I read an interesting article recently. Basically, it stated that the GOP is set for major gains over the next 10 years because 2010 is a Census year, and districts are going to get redrawn by a more conservative majority in the coming months.
I live in NC, and a number of the house districts are so gerrymandered to pick up "minority" (read: Dem) votes that they're no wider across than the local interstate. I'd love to see some of these get eliminated.
We could pick up 5-10 of those. That's what will marginalize the RINO's left standing.
It will be a 2 step process—on Wednesday morning we start in on the 2012 election with the same fervor that brought us to Nov 2 2010. We MUST push on and not get tired. We Must, we Must, we Must!

Absolutely. They realized that, just as they had a hard time during Revolution in getting those born in Britain to press for the colonies’ freedom, this would continue to be a major issue.
They also scored a continued triumph in spreading the govt among three groups to decide things, knowing full well that, as it did in 2009-2010 here with liberals in Congress and POTUS running things, that when there are limits to the checks and balances between these groups, things gets imbalanced and the people in short order can “correct” things to stay on tune to the people’s wishes.

Hilarious posting.
Wonder how many speaking gigs old Jim is getting promoting his book that sells for a penny?

We will have a redistricting advantage. But there are some US Supreme court constraints on the minority community seats. Any redistricting that appears to reduce the chances of the Maxine Waters and other crazies getting reelected will probably be challenged successfully in court.
That actually works to our advantage. The courts will let us cram a bunch of minority voters into one district. That takes up a lot of democrat votes that would otherwise elect other dems. Of course, when R’s do that, we assure we will have radicalized black congress critters. That is not good for the black community or for race relations in general.

Well, to be ABSOLUTELY honest we *could* sweep the whole House of the Senate out but that would involve *GASP*
breaking the law by *GASP* taking guns into DC and *GASP* telling our Senators “Resign or be carried out of here in a pine box.”
The Second Amendment, most fail to realize says that the militia, which is the ARMED body of the Citizenry, is “necessary to the security of
a free State.”
I ask you, what is “free” about living in a state where it is illegal NOT to own a product [namely health-insurance] AND, furthermore, the non-compliance thereof IS A FELONY.
If that is the case then couldn’t the state mandate that you buy so many things that you literally do not have enough money to live on?
Oh, that’s ok because the State itself will provide for you.... no that wouldn’t create a conflict of interests for keeping the state in-power to the extent that they CAN provide like that; and no, it’s absolutely ridiculous to think that those provisions will be held hostage to ensure compliance!
