I agree. I’m sick of tolerance being an entirely one way street.
IMHO the best way to reduce both overt terrorism and the growth of extremism in the Islamic world is a hard line crackdown in the west. These people are emboldened by weakness. Everything we do to accommodate them they see as weakness. Strength they understand perfectly.
I’ve come to believe that we would now have better relations with these people if, after 911, we had unleashed a War of Wrath rather than trying to bring democracy to the middle east. They aren’t interested in our help. They want to conquer us. Let them stew in their own failure for another hundred years and maybe then they will be ready to exit the middle ages.
