This is awful for The One. He looks indecisive and weak.

Hillary must be smiling right now...

He opens with a lecture on civility. And reminds us that he’s the president. He brushes aside the economy is talking about electric cars.

It’s not his fault we thought his policy choices were part of his policy. We were wrong to mistake his broken promise on earmarks as a broken promise on earmarks.

He inherited a deficit, green jobs, earmarks. China’s greatness.

Campaign speech all over again. Same exact examples he always uses.

He’s talking more about R&D than he is about jobs and economic growth. WE don’t understand—his only error is in not oommunicating it to us, i.e. we don’t get it.

Once again, if there are good ideas, what are they? He’s talking depreciation of plant equipment, this is piddly stuff.

He’s flailing, “do we all come to the table with an open mind”.

He opened with a lecture on civility. Now he’s saying he’s always been willing to compromise—and he’s back to wonky energy policy.

He has no idea what he should be saying at this moment. He is sitting there when he should be saying, “I get it,” finding a way to put HIS agenda into this new context.

OK, he’s now talked about electric cars AGAIN.

Utterly clueless as to how to lead when he’s not in a room where everyone already agrees with him.

His big flaw—we didn’t listen to him.

Forget Nixonian. He’s downright Dukakis-ian.
