Early News Is Good News in Massachusetts
National Review (The Corner) ^ | 11/02/2010 | Michael Graham

The Massachusetts secretary of state is reporting that turnout is heaviest in the suburbs — exactly where Republicans need it to be if Charlie Baker is going to upset Deval Patrick in the governor’s race. If there’s such a thing as a Republican enclave in Massachusetts, it’s the South Shore area, and one South Shore town already had 25 percent turnout before noon.

Also, a local PBS reporter appearing on my radio station this morning said that the voters she talked to in a downtown Boston precinct were breaking two-to-one for Charlie Baker.

Meanwhile, Barney Frank and his partner were spotted sitting alone, and looking very unhappy, in a Brookline diner around mid-morning. Sean Beilat was out stumping for votes.

If the people of this state return scums like Bwaney, Tierney, Markey, Olver, et. al. they deserve to have done to them what Bwaney enjoys doing to everyone, both in the bedroom and through his legislation. G-D felching freak.

BTW, My G/F won’t drive her aunt to go vote (the aunt lives in Newton). One less vote for Bwaney and Patrick. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Time for a remake of the Housing Horror Picture Show, starring Barney Frankenfurtive as the Mad Politician.

It really helps that Sean seems to have been a great candidate.

Lines about 20 deep at 6:30 AM in a town of 29,000.

We will know what it means tomorrow.

Across the border in CT I voted around 4:20. The people standing outside holding signs consisted of 75-80% GOP signs. Their were a few Dem sign holders, but most Dem signs were on the ground with no one holding them.

After I voted (a 3-5 minute wait for a booth) I asked the sign holders about turnout. They said it was steady all day and the parking lot (about 50 legal spaces) was almost always constantly full from 8 AM on. I ended up parking on the lawn. During lunch they had two cops directing traffic as the lot was full and traffic was backed up onto the main road.

I’m also on the South Shore and voted at 9AM. It was pretty light but I just drove past the high school and there is a line of cars going in and out.

The three I most want to see ousted are Boxer, Reid and Frank. I would like to see Waxman lose too but that’s probably a stretch to ask for.

Alas, Bwa Bwa won (handily it looks like). Barf. Which Queen will leave office first, Barney or Elizabeth the 2nd?

If they lower the age of consent for boys to 12 or so then you would see Barney happy.

I’m holding out hope for Sean. That being said, I say Bwaney leaves first. He’s going to be investigated from every angle as a member of the minority.

If (God forbid) Bwaney does win, the margin of victory will play a role as well in whether he leaves or not. If it’s a squeaker, I say he hangs it up - a cabinet appointment perhaps?

That being said, if a wonderful candidate like Sean Bielat couldn’t beat the Felching Freak in this environment, it’s a sad day. Also, I hope this isn’t the last we hear of Sean. Again, the margin will play a part in future events.

With Romney's help, and Massachusetts' hatred for Romney's clone Baker,
Deval Patrick has won as Governor.

Team Romney can add this DNC win to their belt
along with their attacks on O'Donnell and the rest.

“The Massachusetts Republican Party died last Tuesday.
The cause of death: failed leadership.

The party is survived by a few leftover legislators
and a handful of county officials and grassroots activists
who have been ignored for years.
Services will be public and a mass exodus of taxpayers will follow.
In lieu of flowers, send messages to Republican voters
warning them about a certain presidential candidate named Romney.”
- Boston Herald, 11/12/2006

"In 2006, while Romney was chairman of the National Republican
Governors Association - a group dedicated to electing more
Republican governors - his own hand-picked Republican successor
as governor lost badly to the Democrat, despite the fact that Republicans
have held the governorship in Massachusetts since 1990. Romney largely
ignored the Massachusetts elections and spent most of the time
during the campaign out of state building his presidential campaign.
He came back and publicly campaigned for the Republican candidate
the day before the general election!
“Locally, this is a rebuke to Mitt Romney and checking out within six months
after being elected and having accomplished almost nothing,”

[Jim] Rappaport [former chairman of the state Republican Party]."
- Boston Globe, 11/8/2006
