Excellent news! I read earlier tonight he had lost, but honestly can’t remember where as I’m all over the place tonight. Good conservative addition!

This has to be the most amazing upset of the evening, considering that Toomey ran for Senate and ended up winning for Governor.

I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue. :)

""As I survey the political landscape of the upcoming 2010 elections, it's clear we need more candidates that fit their states," Cornyn wrote. "While I doubt Arlen could win an election in my home state of Texas, I am certain that I could not get elected in Pennsylvania. I believe that Senator Specter is our best bet to keep this Senate seat in the GOP column. A vote for Arlen Specter is a vote for denying Harry Reid and the Democrats a filibuster-proof Senate....My job as head of the NRSC is to guide the GOP back to a majority in the Senate," he added. "I can't do that without Arlen Specter. "

You mean the same Nominee that Rove and Bush threw off the bus in favor of Specter several years ago. Congrats Senator Toomey

Latest PA Senate Election results: http://www.electionreturns.state.pa.us/ElectionsInformation.aspx?FunctionID=13&ElectionID=39&OfficeID=2

Toomey up just over 73,000 with 98.9% in. I was sweating Philly for way too long earlier.. but it was worth it.

No call yet, though he has a small lead.

CNN just called the Senate for the Dems. Bummer.

But there’s always ‘12.

FoxNews isn’t calling it yet. I hope you’re correct.

Some posters need to ease up on their name calling tonight. Everybody has 6 browsers open, the TV on and it’s easy to mistake a race, or a comment.

Townhall website is showing Toomey as projected winner. Not sure who they are relying on for that projection. But their election results have been timely and excellent all nite.

Toomey up about 60k now with 99% in. Looks to be enough to overcome an hanky panky.

Someone in the live thread wondered why we couldn’t win blue states.

Refusing to call states run by marxists "Blue" would help.

LOL, Toomey leads by 2% with only 1% left to report and Fox won’t call it. Someone there needs a math lesson perhaps? Haha...

He finally got his justice that was owed to him from the last election. I’m very happy to see that.

Finally, conservatives win in PA, at least in the Governor and Senate races. I’ve been so used to my vote going down the drain because of the heavy liberal leaning of the area. Nice to finally win one.
