Whoa. If true prayers for all on board. I don’t recall ever hearing of a Qantas crash before.

Twitter reports say it exploded in the air. NOTE:This is unconfirmed stuff.

Qantas has one of the most amazing safety records in the industry...they’ve never lost a jet aircraft or jet passenger, and their last fatal crash was fifty-nine years ago.

Now, Quantas is saying one of their planes landed in Singapore with engine trouble.

There seems to be a lot of conflicting info coming out.

I just read elsewhere they're finding debris.

Batam Island is about 20km offshore Singapore, and the Quantas jet would have been preparing to land at the time, I suspect.

I have to admit I'm thinking bomb or SAM at this point.
