Several California metropolitan areas registered among the nation's highest unemployment rates in September, according to figures released yesterday by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The El Centro metropolitan area, which is composed of Imperial County, continued to lead the nation with a 30.4 percent jobless rate. The heavily agricultural area has recorded the country's highest jobless rate every month since June 2007.

They had no problem voting back in the people whose policies made them unemployed. And they rejected Proposition 23 to suspend the state’s draconian “climate change” law until the economy recovers.

They are brain-damaged in CA.

I think if Tuesday was not a big loss for dems, there may have been a bailout.

CA can rot for all I care.

There won’t be a bailout. CA can raise taxes and drive its last productive people and businesses out of state. The only people who will live there is the rentier class of rich leftists and all the dependents who live off them.

Absolutely, if they need money have all those Hollywood Liberals pony up.

They need to learn how to live with their mistakes and fix them on their own.

Ditto. Let all the Hollywood millionaires adopt a few homeless each and buy a few more a new home and since they are so hell bent on taking our money, give their money away and put their money where their big mouths are.

They’ve been filming the soap B&B in the downtown homeless areas of LA this past week and it is hard to imagine such poor people where so many rich, liberal people live, why haven’t they taken care of them? Hollywood is a bunch of lyin’ cheatin’ hypocrites.

Yes, they can raise taxes, Proposition 25 passed.

I suggest 15% income tax and 15% sales tax. That should do them nicely.

It’s a pity to have to be cooped up at some dumb job when there’s all that nice weather to enjoy. Who needs the hassle?

Why care about unemployment when the government gives you a check, free medical care and food stamps?

I say if California goes into default, congress should appoint a provisional state government to run the place until they can balance their budget.
