Just days after the Federal Reserve will announce it has launched QE2, the Fed will hold a major conference at Jekyll Island, celebrating the secret meeting held there 100 years ago that resulted in the creation of the Fed.
The island isin the Atlantic off the coast of Georgia.
In November 1910, Senator Nelson W. Aldrich and Assistant Secretary of the Treasuryt A.P. Andrews, and other top financiers, arrived at the Jekyll Island Club to discuss monetary policy and the banking system. The secret meetings led to the creation of the Federal Reserve.
Forbes magazine founder Bertie Charles Forbes wrote several years later:
Picture a party of the nation's greatest bankers stealing out of New York on a private railroad car under cover of darkness, stealthily riding hundred of miles South, embarking on a mysterious launch, sneaking onto an island deserted by all but a few servants, living there a full week under such rigid secrecy that the names of not one of them was once mentioned, lest the servants learn the identity and disclose to the world this strangest, most secret expedition in the history of American finance. That was a coup d’ etat of large proportions. Silent and deadly to a thriving Republic.
Jekyll is/was pretty nice, at least in the mid 70s.
I had a girlfriend there, and her father was the island manager for the state run Jekyll Island Authority...That’s like being the mayor/city manager of a city. The island is a state park.
I would fly in to their small airport, across the bay/river from Brunswick
The old resort hotel of the rich and famous was like a museum, and the island was said to be haunted.
Anyone that was rich and famous in the early 1900s went to Jekyll. I gather the era ended with the depression.

Are their officers vetted by the FBI... or Interpol?
Who OWNS all their stock?.. Are the solvent?..
What about the federal reserve banks.. who and what are they?..
BECAUSE one thing is for sure.. THEY ARE NOT FEDERAL in ANY SENSE!!! they are private corporations..
Have stayed at the Jekyll Island Club many times. It was the site where JP Morgan and his cronies arm twisted the government to set up the Fed. “The Club” was the winter hang out of the NY money crowd around 1900. It fell into disrepair after WWII and has since been restored. It sits on Jekyll Island, a Georgia State Park east of Brunswick.
I would recommend everyone read “ The Creature from Jekyl Island”, to learn more about the insidious nature of the Cartel. one of my personal favorites

Not ironic. These folks are deeply steeped in symbolism.
