It certainly impressed me, and I further suspect he did it only because he’s heard how angry Wisconsin voters were at Feingold over his arrogant manner at the series of Town Halls he held last year.
He didn’t even pretend to listen to the taxpayer complaints. And he always had a rejoinder about taxpayers in OTHER districts were begging him to vote for Obamacare. I don’t know where those OTHER districts were because pretty much all of WI hates Obamacare.
Herbie is afraid that unless Wisconsin anger is soothed, he may go down in flames next election.
He saw Feingold go down and he knows he is next. I don’t think it will take much with the right canidate. Maybe he will just retire rather than get beat - that would be even better!
