White House, GOP look for middle ground on taxes (McCain says yes to tax hikes) (BARF ALERT)

(snip)

...Sen. John McCain of Arizona, the Republican presidential contender in 2008, said he could fathom a short-term extension of all the tax cuts. McCain voted against the Bush tax cuts, saying they disproportionately benefited wealthy Americans and did not rein spending.

"They should be extended until we are out of this recession," McCain said. "At such time we can look at other tax hikes. But when we're in a serious recession I cannot believe that raising taxes is a good thing on anybody."

In fact, the recession officially ended in June 2009, but the recovery has been markedly slow, with unemployment stuck at 9.6 percent, and in danger of sputtering.

Then we can safely predict that McCain't won't try running for office again...cause it won't fly next time.

Between his inability to control the women in his life and RINO stunts like this, this will be his last term of office.

The government created this mess. Stop asking the American people for a bail out.

Middle ground on taxes: Cut 'em.

Next step, move to 10% sales tax and abolish the IRS and income tax.

Now how's that for middle ground?

No middle ground; that was what the American people said on November 2nd. Call McCain and enlighten him.

He just came back from his Asia trip with Barry. He’s all primed and ready to go. Why AZ citizens voted for him I’ll never know - this is one they should have thrown to the ‘rats.

Thanks a lot Arizona Republicans for renominating this RINO. I don’t want to hear another complaint out of Arizona regarding illegal aliens; they deserve what they get.

You have got to be kidding. After everything else he’s done...McCain Feingold, “You dont have to worry about Obama”, voting against the Bush tax cuts, dising conservatives every chance he gets, comprehensive immigration reform...that wasn’t enough?

McCain voted against the Bush tax cuts, saying they disproportionately benefited wealthy Americans and did not rein spending.

I'm confused. Are you sure this is accurate? It took about 30 seconds of fact checking to debunk. Here's the roll call.

I don't mind attacking McCain for his shortcomings, but at least tell the truth. It's not like there's not enough material.

What else would one expect; the election is over. Next up will be ‘immigration reform’ and the ‘Dream Act.’
