Since the attempted bombing of a US airliner on Christmas Day, former Homeland Security secretary Michael Chertoff has given dozens of media interviews touting the need for the federal government to buy more full-body scanners for airports.
What he has made little mention of is that the Chertoff Group, his security consulting agency, includes a client that manufactures the machines. Chertoff disclosed the relationship on a CNN program Wednesday, in response to a question.
An airport passengers rights group on Thursday criticized Chertoffs use of his former government credentials to advocate for a product that benefits his clients.

Thanks for posting this george76.
Thank you
There was that other article earlier today about the CEO of Rapiscan accompanying Obama on the trip to India as part of the business delegation.
Too much cozy goin’ on around D.C. me thinks.
Chertoff is a political hack of the first order. Pretended to be building the fence as he was dragging his feet and running out the clock.
Heh heh, a scanner pimp.
Always, and I mean ALWAYS, follow the money.

Obama’s slush fund. He understands, he is a Chicago politician.
Body scanners for non-Muslims, baggage checks for non-Muslims, elaborate secured Emergency Management Centers all over the Country, etc., etc. All to make us more “secure”.
Meanwhile, we continue to allow the immigration of MORE Muslims, the construction of MORE Mosques and Madrases, extend MORE extra-traditional protection to Muslims here, and tie down our military in some unclearly defined goal in Afghanistan, while hordes of illegal invaders pour across our southern borders and Iran proceeds merrily along with their nuclear program while the Pakistanis play us for fools as a double agent for the Taliban.
Personally, I think our foreign policy has been directed by progressively more and more inept individuals since Reagan left office. And I resent seeing our freedoms continually abridged to no real purpose aside from setting in place a nationwide framework for a statist dictatorship.
